SuperBowl XLIII

I’m ecstatic about my team going to the SuperBowl!! I didn’t think the Steelers would make it after all the injuries they’ve had this year. But the truth is they have a lot of injuries every year.

The real shocker is that the Cardinals made it to the SuperBowl! They have been playing remarkably well in the post season. Its also hard to believe they are the oldest NFL team and this will be their first trip to the big game.

That said, I have no sympathy for the Cards….GO STEELERS!!!

Puzzle Mania

I’ve been getting back into puzzle-based games lately.  After a long run of shoot’em up with Call of Duty, I’m back to my true gaming love…puzzles.  I purchased a copy of World of Goo and Geometry Wars.  Geometry Wars isn’t really a puzzle game, but it sure tests your reflexes.  I’ll most likely play a little N+ over the weekend to keep the puzzle games going.

R U Ready 4 Some Football!!

Very excited about the NFL playoff matchups this weekend!!  My team (Pittsburgh Steelers) goes up against the San Diego Chargers.  The home team (Carolina Panthers) goes up against the Arizona Cardinals.  Of course I’m going for the Steelers to win it all, but it would be great if they could play against the Panthers in the SuperBowl….

This is what football is all about baby….

No Time 2 Game

I had to work late yesterday, so I was dead tired when I got home.  I didn’t even think about firing up the XBox or the Wii.  I did watch Carnivale Season2 Disc2 though.  I watched the series when it came on HBO and I loved it.  I’m getting a refresher through Netflix.  I also got Hellboy 2 in yesterday.  I think I’ll hold off on watching that one for the weekend.

Yesterday was rainy all day.  I don’t think today will be any better.  At least it has warmed up a little.

Showing Da Wii Some Love

I been playing the XBox 360 a lot lately. My Wii has been fellin neglected. So I downloaded two games for it tonight:

World of Goo
RiverCity Ransom

World of Goo is an excellent indy game on WiiWare. RiverCity Ransom is a classic that my brother and I used to play for hours on end on the original NES.

Yee Hah…getty up buckaroo!!

Went to the rodeo last night for the first time in about 17 years.  Had a great time.  I know those cowboys must have back problems as they get older.  Was kind of disappointed in the bull riding, they didn’t have much buck.  But, the horses more than made up for the bulls lack of spunk.

This was a great way to end my holiday vacation.  Back to work tomorrow  🙁

Old Sckool Gaming

After spending most of yesterday playing COD:World of War, I finished up the afternoon with some old and new school card games.  I went over my cousins house and we played Uno (with the original card design 🙂 ), Phase10, Gin Rummy, Deuces are Wild, and a new one..Uno Spin.  Had a great time.  Next time we will probably bring out some Monopoly.

Although when I got home this morning at 1:30, I got back online with COD….I’m hooked!!!

My Call Of Duty…..duty

I was up to about 3 this morning playing Call of Duty: World of War online with my brother and cousin.   Very fun!!  They are much better than I am, but they are die-hard FPS players.  The game does get frustrating at times when you keep getting killed from grenades and you can’t tell where they are coming from 🙁  The weapons on this game is from the World War era.  The weapons on COD4 are way better…but it is called Modern Warfare for a reason.  Still, the game play on World of War is solid.

On another note…I got my brother Prince of Persia for Christmas.  He says it’s a great game.  I hope he lets me borrow it when he is done.

Trying to get in as much gaming as I can during my time off.   See ya on XBL.
